Did you ever want to visit a sugar shack to see how maple sap to maple syrup is made? Well, now is your chance to see for yourself how it’s done!
For one day, Strawberry Fields Farm is opening up its sugar shack to the public on Saturday, February 27th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone young and old is invited to stop in during these hours for a fun and free learning experience.
What’s more, Ms. Carol Royal, owner, is giving away free maple water and maple syrup tastings. Homemade maple syrup and maple sugar candy, made from her sugar bush of tapped maple trees on the farm, are also available for purchase.
The address is 70 Route 55 West, Sherman. Contact c.weldroyal@gmail.com with any questions.
