Ever so often, a small seaplane lands on Candlewood Lake. Naturally, a few residents own them.

However, its not an everyday occurence when a massive Blade seaplane lands on the water, in plain sight no less!

Talk about perfect timing… While photographing my son and his friend enjoying time on the water in their kayaks, I captured this split-second landing. The boys were most certainly impressed with the sheer size of the high-tech Blade aircraft, and felt a little hurried, too, to paddle quickly back to the docks.
