28 Flavors of Ice Cream at The Goodie Shoppe!

IMG_8579 (2)Warm weather days are here at last, and ice cream is a rite of summer!

Marc Jayson, owner of The Goodie Shoppe in New Fairfield, wants to be the go-to destination for ice cream lovers near and far this summer. After all, ice cream has become an actual “ice cream season!”

This hidden gem, located at the corner of Routes 37 and 39, serves up divinely tasty ice cream that’s proudly made by Buck’s Ice Cream of Milford, Connecticut, a family-owned business known for its premium ice cream.

Try Toasted Almond that’s made with crumbled French Macaroons, Salted Carmel that’s just the right mix of sweet and salty, or Pineapple Coconut that tastes like a Pina Colada.

Of course, one can never go wrong with the “classics” like Chocolate Chip, French Vanilla, and Strawberry or the “pseudo classics” like Mint Chocolate Chip, Butter Pecan, and Cookies and Cream.

However, there’s always a new variation to sample like Ultimate Chocolate, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk with Chocolate Swirl.

MaIMG_8583 (2)ny of the children’s favorites, and shhh, sometimes “adult” favorites, too, are Cotton Candy, Orange Cream, Peach, Cherry, Peanut Butter, Moose Tracks, and Cookie Dough.

As for the flavors that are the most popular with adults… Cake Batter, Cappuccino, Chocolate Hazelnut, Praline and Cream, Rum Raisin, and Fudge Ripple truly taste just like they sound!

For the more adventurous, there’s Swamp and Mud that, fortunately, do not taste at all like they sound, but are just rather “mixed up” and scrumptious!

And, Rainbow Sherbert is always a refreshing frozen indulgence, too.
