With the Town of Sherman opening its beach on June 20, it will surely bring a ray of sunshine to those who can’t wait for the new season to officially begin.

It’s timely, too, with Summer Solstice falling on the same day.

Photos, taken this morning, show how tranquil and beautiful this crown jewel is to the community.

First Selectman Don Lowe said, all residents – with proof of address – can get their beach passes from a boat launch guard between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., seven days a week.

Residents only, and their guests, are required to follow social distancing rules. Details will be prominently posted at The Sherman Town Park.

Both the Town Park & Beach are open from sunrise to sunset.
