Farm to Table Dining Indulgence at Strawberry Fields Farm

Carol Royal, organic farmer and owner of Strawberry Fields Farm in Sherman, is teaming up with Anne McClelland, a renowned local chef and owner of The First Bite Catering in New Milford. Together, they’re offering an unforgettable evening of fine dining inside the farm’s rustic and renovated barn on Saturday, July 30, at 6:30 p.m.

Chef-HeadshotFirstBiteAnne McClelland, who brings over 15 years of experience to the table as a personal chef and caterer and takes pride in offering fresh and artfully prepared cuisines for her clients, will create a delightful dinner for the sophisticated palette.

hummusSalmon Mousse with Dill in phyllo cups, Sport Hill Farm Pork, cheddar and herb puffs, deconstructed Eggplant Parmigiana, and hummus with fresh vegetables will be the appetizers.

A signature Strawberry Fields Farm salad, complete with hand-picked, farm fresh greens and produce, accompanied by Goat Cheese and fried shallots dressed with a Creamy Cucumber Vinaigrette will be served.

short rib chimiFor the entrée, Balsamic braised Short Ribs with Chimichurri Sauce set atop a polenta round with grilled farm fresh vegetables will tempt the taste buds.

The icing on the cake will be a delicate Puff Pastry with mixed berries and Sherry Reduction, topped with herbed whipped cream.

A sparkling glass of Spanish Cava is complimentary. Dinner guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beer of preference.

To partake in this intimate and elegant culinary delight, reservations are required, and it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited to a maximum of 24 guests. The cost is $80 per person.
